Or was it a way for president Marcon to take the focus off the demonstrations and riots in Paris. A bit like the Novichok nerve agent situation in Salisbury last year. Distraction is name of the game. All smoke and mirrors. Have the other churches just been the run up to the Notre Dame fire and what's next?

that's a good point, while everyone is looking one way slip a crafty law in here and there, these politicians and leaders have a lot to answer for...

now that is a scary thought...

So who are these multi millionaires who are pledging millions to rebuild this "Catholic" church? What are they getting back in return? Ask yourself, what does the Catholic church have that these people want? Influence, favours, the right word in the right ear. I have also heard that these so called patrons are already claiming tax relief on the money they have pledged. It's not all as straightforward as it seems. These people just don't do something for nothing, there's always a benefit for them!
